Which households genuinely benefit from the thermostatic upgrade
A properly adjusted pressure-balance valve is adequate protection for many families, and it costs less. A thermostatic valve earns its premium when one or more of these applies:
- Kids who bathe or shower with minimal supervision. The locked maximum and override button remove the how-far-can-I-turn-it experiment entirely.
- Seniors aging in place. Thinner skin burns faster and reaction time is slower. Pair the valve with properly anchored grab bars and the whole shower becomes dramatically safer.
